The role

We are currently recruiting for Irrigation Operatives.  Ideally you will be experienced in all aspects of irrigation on a large farm but we would be prepared to train the right candidate.  Working as part of a wider irrigation team you will be responsible for managing the irrigation of a site under the direction of the grower managers and senior irrigation assistants.  You will take pride in the general appearance and performance of the fields and will be involved in ad hoc maintenance.

Your responsibilities

Responsibilities would include Priva set up and management, moisture and EC monitoring and recording, irrigation control (monitoring weather and reacting to changes in plant water requirements), record and stock keeping, fertiliser mixing, irrigation installation and maintenance, coir leaf and water sampling, climate management and crop walking.

• Must be physically fit as there is a lot of walking involved
• Must be able to drive a tractor and have experience of this
• Must have good English and the right to work in the UK after June (settled or pre-settled status if not UK citizens)
• Must have the capacity to learn new skills
